        As a good tutor, trust and confidence on your tutee is very important. In my opinion, i feel that instilling positive vibes to your student will allow he/she to have a better self esteem and confidence to put in the effort and do well. Therefore, words of encouragement and motivation will do the work. On top of that, being prompt and punctual is equally important too, so as to create a good impression. Also, to be well versed in whatever subject the tutor is teaching. If a tutor doubts himself/herself frequently, the student will start to lose trust which will then affect the tutor-tutee relationship.

              Having graduated from secondary and pre university not long ago, I have been able to stay current with the curriculum.
              I have many friends who are still in secondary/JC. Hence, that allows me to have access to the resources and curriculum.
              The internet has also many resources that are available to keep up with the curriculum.
              As the curriculum might defer from school to school, it is important that students bring me their textbooks for me to understand and note what might be taught too.
              As a Good Tutor
              Everyone has their own learning curve. But the important thing is to be understanding and patient. Being a student who had to struggle with many of my own learning hurdles, I can understand others as well as find the best method to suit the learning of the student.
              I think it is also necessary to keep up with the current curriculum. In order to best teach the student, it is for me to be able to go along with the pace that the school has set. This is so that the student will not be stressed out. On my part, if the student is able to cope up, I would then give a head start to the student on his/he other topics.
              Furthermore, I think that discipline is important. Hence, aside from employing methods and techniques that would enable the student to learn, there needs to be focused and discipline study. This is to make the best out of the short time that we have.
              The needs of the student comes before mine, hence, as a tutor, I will commit myself to the best interest of my student and their parents.
