Rapport Building: I think the most important thing is instilling confidence in a child rather than scolding. When confidence is high, it gives the child the best learning environment as he or she would be willing to make mistakes and learn from it. Kids should be given the opportunity to speak and learn values while studying.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I've talked and met parents on a weekly basis for the past few years since i've started soccer coaching. They range from local parents to expatriates who constantly keep me updated with the school's curriculum. This would ensure that their child is not put under too much pressure and stress so that the best schedule can be worked out to get the best out of their child.

As a Good Tutor: Patience is key. Getting angry and getting distracted by what kids do while studying or playing on the field can get to any human being, but after all, we have to find a way to work around it. Kids are interesting. They have unique perspectives that can give us adults a different outlook to things in life. Being patient with a kid, and trying to find ways to get them interested in that subject, in my case, English can be a fascinating task yet challenging one. As Long as i've parents who are willing to work hand in hand with me to ensure the best can be done for their child, I"ll definitely do my best.

I have tutored some of my classmates in peer tutoring sessions before as well as conducted holiday workshops for juniors who struggled with English and Math.

Despite my relative lack of teaching experience, I am certain that with my assistance your child can perform even better not only in tests and examinations, but in work efficacy and efficiency as well. My study methods for GP and Math eschew conventional rote-memorisation and nondescript "mugging" for more enterprising solutions towards a more enriching learning experience.

Based on feedback from my friends, I am very approachable and patient in explaining queries they had during my schooling years. I do not believe in forcing anyone into maths, as it will just deter them further. By slowly encouraging and building their confidence in obtaining the right answers, students can hopefully gain more interest in maths and improve. My tutoring approach is based on the student's understanding of the concepts and finding methods and approaches to understanding and solving problems and questions. Rapport Building: Getting to know the expectations of the parents and students is important to me, so that I will be able to explain to the student what is expected and also explain to the parents the level their child is at currently. We could then work out a compromise and gauge how much more work we have to put in, in order to achieve the best result as possible.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I update myself through the MOE website, and also find out more about what the students are learning from my aunts, who are teachers, and my schooling cousins. The news also do provide current updates at times.

As a Good Tutor: Good tutors are able to understand their tutee's personality and work attitude. From there, a good tutor must be able to adapt and guide the tutee through ways that can perk the tutee's interest in a subject. A good tutor should also be understanding of the parents' expectations and push the tutee to achieve good results and enjoy learning.
