Commitment / Other Details: Academically I am currently tutoring a few students specializing in English and Literature. Secondary 4 student, Secondary 1 student, 2 primary two students and an international K2-American school student in Phonics, English and role play.
I am also currently tutoring a special need teenager for more than 2 years, from Assumption Special School on communication skills, confidence building and creative writing. The teaching consist of creative writing, aspiration building and outings to exhibitions and galleries, libraries and etc to further enhance his knowledge and inquisitive to explore. This will stimulate his memory, boosting motivation towards his ambition and confidence when socializing within the society.
For all levels, I will create fun problem solving methods to challenge their thinking and nudge them to think further with constant communication, progressing to communicate effectively and with confidence.

Rapport Building: Being a skilled communicator I am able to quickly gain the trust of children with my joyful personality. I am able to entice a student/child to fun learning to make it easier for them to understand and grasp the actual work.

I build a relationship with students to boost their confidence and never make them feel inferior. No student or child is wrong, it is an experience for them to learn. It is important for them to have confidence and in this their mentality will be focused to strive for excellence.

It is important for them to be in a conducive environment and trust and gain the respect of their tutors. I do not believe in stringent learning but open communication where the student/s feel comfortable when learning.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I keep myself updated with curriculum by knowing the Singapore Education system. I speak to the students and ask them about their tasks at hand and upcoming ones.

I read to better improve myself so that I am of service to helping students to excel.

As a Good Tutor: The basics of a good tutor is to understand his or her students strength and weakness. Studies is not all about just work but play as well and by interacting well with them; these gives the student/s a sense of interest when learning and comfort knowing that they are not going to be "wronged" when they make a mistake but "coached" to be better.

I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to a tutor I have gotten to know and was taught by through Ace tutors. I want to commend Perin( Navinder ) for being such a dedicated and effective tutor. I appreciate the fact that she gives her fullest attention when teaching and would use suitable methods to improve my grasp of the English language. I must highlight those times when she go out of her way by assessing my compositions I sent through emails even though it is already late in the evening ! I'm Glad and really proud to say that those efforts had paid off well. My usual grade of C5 for English shot up to a grade B3 in the N levels ! Perin started teaching me only 2 months before the N levels and yet I could get the grade I have aimed for ! Without her help, I doubt I would be able to attain my goal for a B3 and hence I would like to commend her through this email. Thank you Ace tutors for giving me such a wonderful tutor !

Rapport Building: I'm a friendly person and initiates conversation easily. I believe that there is a line drawn between a tutee and a tutor, I will be firm to my students during teaching but maintaining a friendly relationship with them.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I'm planning to be a part time tutor for a long term because teaching makes me happy when my knowledge and skills are passed to the student.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: Curriculum-wise: I will buy the latest assignment books to review the concepts and to keep up with the current syllables. Personally, I have received questions from my younger sister and her friends, thus I have been in touch with the current syllables.

As a Good Tutor: In my opinion, a good tutor should have a high level of passion in teaching and invest more in the preparation of worksheets and mini tests for the students.
