I have been teaching literacy for the past 7 1/2 years, 3 of which were as an Educational Therapist at the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. I also taught dyslexic students at a children's home.
I use a hands-on approach. I don't believe in a one-size fits all method of teaching. I put in the effort to make lessons more engaging; e.g, through learning games and heeding the child's interests.
