Tuition/Teaching Experience
For about 4 years, I have tutored close to 20 students. I first started tutoring students who were juniors in my CCA when I returned as a volunteer to help out. I saw that they were good students who were either slightly weaker in certain subjects or those who needed a little more motivation to excel in their grades, and that I had the knowledge to help them. I was happy when I saw them succeed and that I could be a part of their journey. My approach is always on understanding my students' weaknesses and focusing on helping them to understand and apply the concepts, theories in the subjects. Once they have understood the concepts, we would then apply the knowledge through practice and I would share with them, some methods that I have used to enable them to solve the problems more quickly.
Currently doing full time tuition so long as my schedule allows. Applying into MOE as a teacher in future. Have taught Chemistry, Biology, Physics at Farfield Methodist Secondary as a relief teacher, and a full time tutor at Nanyang Education Consultancy.
