Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have experience teaching a P1 girl Chinese/Higher Chinese and a P6 boy. I taught them using textbooks, assessment books and some outside-of-syllabus reading materials such as storybooks. The P6 student scored an A in Chinese for PSLE.
I have also worked at Kumon for 6 months to assist in marking of classwork/ homework and evaluate simple HanyuPinyin or comprehension readings of the students to correct them on the pronunciation and understanding of the words,
As lower primary focuses on HanyuPinyin, I will be emphasizing on the 4 levels of tone to ensure accuracy of reading. I will be evaluating performance based on their spelling, test and exam results. I will also be introducing outside-of syllabus reading and learning materials such as newspapers and storybooks to enhance learning.
