I have been giving Secondary School Maths for 4 years.
2011-2012:
-Student 1: O-level - Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. Student 1 failed her maths at the start of secondary 3 but in the end scored A1 for her AMaths and A2 for Maths in her O-level.
-Student 2: O-level - Mathematics. Student 2 failed her maths at the sec 3 mid year exam but scored a B3 for her O level.
End 2012- now:
Started teaching student 3 at the end of her secondary 2. She is in secondary 4 now and has been doing well, getting A1 for both A-Maths and E-Maths Prelims. She is taking O level at the end of this year.
I prefer one-to-one tuition as I can cater to the student's needs and the student would be able to catch up faster. Normally what I do during lesson is going through the topic that has been taught in school, going through homeworks and do extra exercises if time allows. As I was once a student, there are certain tips to make it easier for learning and I would like to share those tips with my students to assist them further in understanding the subject.
