Tuition/Teaching Experience
I started home tuition during my undergraduate years in NTU, which was about 20 years ago. During this time, I inspired and guided many students from Pri/Sec/JC levels from all walks of life, particularly in the academic field of Sciences and Maths. I derive satisfaction seeing my students excel in the subjects that I had tutored, as making them successful is what matters to me.

I will be on vacation from Nov 28 to Dec 8, otherwise I can start ASAP, and I am available on weekends.
Rapport Building
I will take time to understand the needs of the students and find ways we can work together to mitigate any issues that is hindering the student's progress. This will be done progressively during the tuition as to understand the thinking process as well as the comfort level of the students with respect to the time balance from home work, school activities and play time. Words of encouragement and sharing of life stories or motivational stories is important to change the attitude and let the students have more visibility to make the correct choice and take responsibility.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Every year, I will refer to the MOE website to understand and take note on the update for the curriculum changes. I will review and contextualize my learning notes to suit the current requirements for my students.
As a Good Tutor
Being a responsible parent and tutor, I understand the level of commitment goes beyond not only providing the required syllabus, but also encourage good values as well as build their sense of responsibility and level of self-esteem. Being an adult trainer, I understand the need of using the 21st century teaching methodologies for effective learning. I will share my teaching strategy to the parents and students to form a collaboration to achieve the academic goals together.
