Tuition/Teaching Experience
I began tutoring at the age of 17 and have taught 13 students in total. I started teaching them when they were in their lower secondary. I am happy that most of them have made it from a F9 to at least a B3 for their math and additional math.

Upon their graduation, we are still in very close contact and we meet up often for gathering. I am not just a tutor to them, but also a friend! :)

Commitment / Other Details
I have experience in both one-to-one tuition and group tuition.

I am able to start at short notice and will commit to an assignment fully.
My available dates are preferably on Fridays/Saturdays because i stay in the hostel on Mon-Thurs.

Previously, lessons were conducted at my place. Venues for lessons can be discussed! :)
Rapport Building
I will keep parents updated on their children's progress and apart from academics, we will discuss on the student's attitude towards learning in order to for the student to improve as a whole. As for the student, i believe that appropriate rewards and being able to listen to them are very important for rapport building.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Usually, i will ask my students for their school's curriculum structure and check current versions of textbooks to see if there are any changes in curriculum. In addition, i will access the MOE website to check if there are any additions/removals of a particular chapter.
As a Good Tutor
Being a tutor requires a lot of patience and understanding each students' needs is very important. The learning curve of each student is different, thus, methods and techniques used will differ from one to another. Apart from academics, i feel that being able to offer help/listening ear to them may also be a good way to convince students that one has the best interest at heart for them.
