Rapport Building
I would get to know the reasons behind why the student requires tuition for the subject (lack of skills or content, wanting to excel in the subject), as well as the exact topics and areas in the subject to target. My personality is outgoing, and I am open to discuss any obstacles in learning with the parent and the student.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would refer to the school syllabus online as well as past year papers and current textbooks, focusing on the test format and the required content (eg. for language: grammar and vocabulary).
As a Good Tutor
I was a part of the Bicultural Studies Program in Dunman High School for 4 years, from 2011 to 2014. I have confidence in my language skills and my understanding of both Chinese and Western cultures, so I aim transfer this knowledge to my student.

I have also taken Art (Art Elective Program, H2 Art in JC) as an examinable subject for 6 years, with knowledge in acrylic painting, watercolour painting, drawing and Art History. So I am able to teach basic Art skills to up to a lower secondary level. I can provide my Art Elective Programs grades for further reference.

I myself really appreciate a teacher that can make lessons interesting, and often the reason why students lose focus in school is because they find lessons boring. So to be a good tutor, I would emphasize on making the lessons interesting for my students, through rewards, finding interesting examples beyond the textbook to teach the same lesson content and so on, with the school syllabus in focus. However, if a student requires a strict tutor, I would adhere to that too.
