Commitment / Other Details
I am able to begin ASAP and will be able to commit for the next 3-5 years. In addition, I can offer supervision and help with schoolwork/assessment books besides providing my own practice questions.
Rapport Building
As for the Maths portion in A and E Maths or Primary School Maths, I will explain to my students how to interpret questions, break them down, highlight key facts. I also help them to learn how to integrate what they have learnt with what is in the questions. This helps them to gain problem-solving skills. At the same time, I will also analyse the child's work to find out where the problem(s) lies whether is it misunderstanding of the question requirements, pure carelessness or foundational issues.

After that, I make my students do the same question. This is because students can understand how to solve a question but are still unable to independently solve the question.

After they solve the question on their own, I will repeat the problem-solving techniques and the basic facts and formulae they used. I have developed a systematic problem-solving technique which help students to solve maths questions.

I do not let my students do the so-called "Top Ten Schools" exam papers immediately as the standard of it may distract them from learning problem-solving skills. They end up memorising the answers with no understanding. In my opinion, this is a bad learning as there is no real learning and answers memorised are irrelevant as questions can be changed by teachers year after year. Moreover, the questions they memorised seldom appear in their own school exams or national exams.

As for parents, I will be regularly updating them of their child's progress and his or her areas of improvement in order to achieve the desired grade.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will review my teaching materials every few months and make some changes to them. At the same time, I keep myself updated with the syllabuses frequently.
As a Good Tutor
I do not believe in drilling students but focus on how to make them interested in learning the subject. I aim to make my students feel a sense of satisfaction when they master a concept and at the same time, motivate them to push on further.
