Formal Special Education teacher. Tutored numerous students from mainstream schools since 2004 to present. Specialising in English, Science and Mathematics, as well as socio-emotional skills.
Available on weekdays evenings and weekend mornings.
Assignment should at least be for a year to prevent any disruption to the child's progress in studies. Open for discussion on helping the child.
Rapport Building
With the rapid evolving styles of teaching and learning, I believe that each child is unique in learning. Henceforth, I have different strategies working with different needs of an individual. I don't subscribe to hard-drilling learning or one-size-fits-all type of teaching.
Studied and trained in counselling, the basis for learning to take place starts with a good rapport. Apart from academic excellence, I would also try to ensure that the child has good mental/emotional support in order to be a holistic achiever.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Have not stopped tutoring since I started in 2004. This has equipped me with the relevant and up-to-date MOE requirements.
