Commitment / Other Details
Able to start ASAP, but please give me a week notice and inform me of the topics that the student wants to be taught, as i need to prepare the materials for the student.
Only providing 1 to 1 tuition
Rapport Building
I would share a little about myself, I would happily answer any questions that the parent or student may have as long as the questions are not deeply personal. I would love to come to an understanding with them that mutual respect is very important, and that i will respect their child. I will respect the parent's expectations of their child and try my best to help the student achieve that goal to the best of their capabilities.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As much as I can i would like to keep up or even be ahead of the curriculum. This ensures that the student will have more time to revise. This however does not mean that i will rush through the syllabus, i will still teach according to the speed that suits the student. If needed i can slow down to go at the same pace as the curriculum. If the student does not understand the previous topics taught by their teacher i will make sure the student understands what is currently being taught then move on to teaching the previous topics. Please note that this may change if the student asks for a different plan.

For E/A-Math, I would provide worksheets that has questions that is not in the textbook to explore other types of questions. I would also give mini-test to the students, as homework, testing on what we have covered the previous week. To ensure that the students retain the concepts taught.
For SS, I would go through the SEQ questions and highlight the points that the question needs and the general information that is required of the student.
SBQ wise, I would teach the students how to analyse the source and think critically.

Do note that for SS I am unable to mark like a school teacher as I am not trained in that area, but I will try to my best capabilities.
However, I have gotten almost all straight As in Secondary school for my SS. I am able to impart what I learned to the student.
As a Good Tutor
As a good tutor i believe that their teaching style centers around trying various teaching methods to see which best suits the student. If the method i use does not suit the student i will try other ways to help them understand. I also believe that patience is a quality needed when teaching. I strongly feel that practice and motivation is a quality that i will try to impart on the students, to allow them to be conciseness when it comes to their studies. I will not scold or raise my voice at the student as I feel that I do not have the right to do so, however i will kindly but firmly oversee their studying. I hope to make the tuition experience an enjoyable one where they will be excited to learn.
