Rapport Building
My interest in the English language has been cultivated through my many years as an Arts student and having taken several assessments for these skils such as the New South Wales Assessment in both Primary 5 and 6, scoring a distinction for English Comprehension and a merit for English Essay writing.
My skills as a public speaker have been furnished through my years in the Secondary School Debate team, having represented the School in various competitions and events.
I have held a leadership position in both my class committee and CCA executive committee from the start of Secondary School to the end of Junior College, assisting me in familiarising myself with being in charge of and guiding a whole group of peers and recognising each personal need.
I have always been keen on teaching as my experiences in community service and Interact Club clearly convey.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
My close friend has been teaching primary school students for years now and I have juniors in Secondary school so it won't be tough to catch up on the current curriculum. I am well-read so I'm confident in my English and Literature skills.
As a Good Tutor
I have a very patient and calm demeanour, as testified by my home tutors over the years. Through my many experiences with children in Interact Club (where I have worked with intellectually disabled children and many different groups of the community, I have gained confidence in interpersonal skills when interacting with individuals. I am very willing to cater to the student's unique needs and preferred study method.
