My son had tremendous improvement especially Math after Mr James had taken over as his Math & Science tutor.
Mr James had started teaching him when he was in P5. I could remember his math & science marks hovered around 65-70.
After he was taught by Mr James, within a term his marks shot up to 80+.
Recently, he just gotten his PSLE result, I am very pleased to say he had gotten A for Science & A* for Math.
I truly believe that besides the kid needs to put on effort but getting a good tutor is very important.
Though he might not be a ex or MOE teacher, doesn't mean he is not equally good.
