Tuition/Teaching Experience: Dear parents,

I am familiar with the school syllabus as I have five years' experience as a private tutor. In addition, before becoming a tutor, I was an editor of educational books for 6 years.

I have taught 16 'O' level History and/or SS students over the years. Many of these students started tuition with F9 in History for their school exams. All of them managed to achieve A and B grades. The distinction rate for my Sec 4 class is 50%.

I am also experienced in tutoring Lower Secondary Singapore History.

Tutoring Subjects

Commitment / Other Details: I am able to start as soon as possible. I take my assignments seriously and will be committed to teaching all my students till the end of the school year. Extra notes and practices will be provided free of charge for topics that they need more help with.

I regret that I will not be able to continue assignments where there are often last-minute cancellations or rescheduling of lessons, as this would be unfair to my other students.

Should parents require testimonials from my former students, I will be able to let them view messages from my students' parents that were sent to thank me for helping their children achieve good results.

I have experience tutoring mainstream school students with mild ADHD. Discounted tuition rates will be offered to students who are able to travel to my home at Hougang for lessons.

Singapore History for Lower Secondary. Source-based case studies and structured essays will be provided. Students will be guided on the answering skills (e.g. Inference, reliability and the PEEL format for essay writing).
Other Details:
I have a small dog at home. If students are not comfortable to be around dogs, I will be able to travel to the students' homes in the Northeast or Central regions.
