Rapport Building: I usually like to tell parents my values when tutoring and what I prefer and not. I will feedback now and then on their progress especially if I find that the child has been distracted lately or any other problems. I like to to motivate my tutoring kids with little treats such as sweets(if permitted by parents) and stickers now and then as a form of motivation.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I don't believe in loading my tution kids with homework. Homework from their regular curriculum alone should be enough to keep them busy. Instead I believe in identifying their strong and weak areas with work they do from school and during tutoring hours and to built on it instead.

As a Good Tutor: As a good tutor I like to see improvement in work. Just as I would expect focus and effort from the tutoring child, I have a personal expectation to give my attention and manage my time in helping the child get through with work.
