I have over 11 years teaching experience in local primary school ( MOE), having taught primary one to primary six. I also taught private tuition for over 18 years, experience teaching from primary one to secondary four. One of my P6 pupils failed Chinese in his years in primary school and he obtained a C in PSLE in the year 2006.

I have been in MindChamps doing training and program development in their PSLE Success Chinese program and Oral Preparation workshop.

As a Good Tutor: To be an exceptionally good tutor, one must be able to recognize the importance of having a positive learning attitude and ensure that it is instilled in the student's mental state. This can be done through basic goal settings and the provision of constant encouragements. Without being mentally positive, even if the student has the ability to do well, he/she will sub-consciously sabotaged his/her own performance.
As the cliche phrase goes: Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your actions. And your actions will ultimately become your results. Hence, the very first step is to ensure that the student is confident of his/her own capabilities so that he/she will do the right things to produce outstanding results.
