I usually tutor primary school students but I do get the ocassional secondary school students where I teach them E-maths and A-maths. Two of my students whom I taught Malay (they are non-malay students), get top in class every year. Two of my secondary school students improved their A-maths tremendously by getting a B3 from F9.
I'm currently a primary school teacher teaching in a school in the North East. I have been teaching for 5 years. I will be applying the strategies and pedagogy that I used for my students in school during tuition as well. Course Description:
I will be teaching pupils the skills to write a good composition, especially for primary 3 pupils. Based on my teaching experience, primary 3 pupils find it challenging to write a good composition as it is their first time writing a full composition based on 4 pictures. I will scaffold the lessons in such a way where they will be able to generate their own ideas and write a story with proper paragraphing.
Other than that, I will also be teaching them comprehension skills as this is also one of the components in the main paper that pupils find challenging.
Oral speaking skills is also important. I will teach them how to read a text properly and how to go about describing the picture for picture conversation.
