After graduation I worked for large multinational companies like Shell and I worked to develop people capabilities.
I also teach part time at SIM University and enjoy developing students and motivating them to excel.

Commitment / Other Details: In my spare time, I engaged in debates and public speaking competitions while writing an active commentary website. As such, I believe that I will be able to impart valuable english language skills to any prospective students.

As a geography and economics student, I learnt that these subjects can be dealt with through exam skills rather than absolute knowledge. I am able to actively impart these skills to any student who takes these subjects as well. Students who suffer from exam anxiety will also benefit from my tutelege as I am able to impart certain tricks on how to deal with exam stress and "mind-blanks".

Currently, I have had one teaching experience as a primary 5 assistant teacher at MERCU Learning Point student care under Da Qiao Primary. During my time there, I assisted with managing a class of 23 pupils, supervising and guiding them in English, Math and Chinese homework. My students often commented I was a patient tutor.

I am also currently mentoring children with special needs in developing creative confidence and strengthening self-esteem through art on a flexible ad hoc basis.

I can teach English, Math and Chinese for Pre-School/Primary School and English and Literature for Secondary school and Junior College. I have a passion for Literature and I read and write regularly. I am also in the Literature Club in SMU.
