Commitment / Other Details: I am able to start the tuition immediately and commit minimally till the end of 2016. If time permits, I'll further extend my aid for your child.

I prefer teaching using students' textbooks. As students use their textbooks during classes,
they find it easier to understand the same concepts found in their textbooks that were taught by their teachers.
In a 1-1 tuition, I'll be able to show them the concepts in a different perspective.
This is not quite possible in a classroom filled with students of different learning style and a teacher in a class often cannot get
every single student to learn at the same pace. Also, by bringing in other textbooks/ learning materials,
students might get overloaded with illustrations from two different textbooks.
Furthermore, i believe all school textbooks are MOE approved and will be sufficient to cover all syllabi.

Rapport Building: I often keep the parents updated with their child's progress by informing them on their children's performances every now and then after tuition. Also, by being really patient will help build rapport between the student and I since they will feel at ease during classes and hence they will tend to open themselves up. Students who are shy will tend to take a few more lessons to open up to the tutors but rest assure that I being someone who enjoy dealing with children, will allow your child to get the most out of their class. (Even when they choose to stay quiet throughout the lesson)

Rapport Building: Being rapport is a key part of tutoring because with a good relation between the student and myself would make coaching easier and intersting. I would build rapport with students using different methods depending on the age group. For example for primary school students which are harder to communicate with, give small rewards like sweets and snacks as a form of incentive would be quite efficient. For parents, it would involve continuous update of their child's performance.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: After I have been given assignment, I would read up the notes that I have kept to recap my memory. Moreover I would also shop for assessments for the student and also read their updated syllabus of that particular subject.

As a Good Tutor: Patience would be the most important qualities as a tutor. Other than that, qualities such as being caring and stern at times would also be important.
