I focus on English for both Primary and Secondary school students. I start with the basics, especially for students who are weak in foundation areas eg: grammar and Comprehension. I don't believe in giving the correct answers to students or simply marking their work. I would expect them to explain why they think they've made a mistake and have them correct themselves, if they're able to. I explain why a certain word is used for a blank in cloze passages by pointing out the clues or inferences which can lead a student to come up with the right word.
I have been a writer and editor for local magazines and am currently freelance writing. At the moment, I'm teaching P5 and P6 students, Sec 1-4 students.

Although I have not tutored before, I have had my fair amounts of tuition as a student. Hence, I understand what the student wants and looks for in a tutor. I believe the most important step towards acing the the subject is liking it and I think I will focus my lessons on engaging the students in the subjects and helping them develop interest to learn more.       I was a volunteer tutor for 2 years in JC. I tutored primary school students (P1-6) for Mathematics, English, Science and Chinese. I always put in my best effort to explain the various concepts and ideas to the students. I was patient with my students and would explain using different methods until they were able to understand the concepts.
