Rapport Building
For students, building a bond between teacher and student is essential and rewarding in terms of results and efficiency in class. Being a recent graduate myself, I believe that I would be able to connect to students more effectively and be able to understand their concerns easily compared to other tutors.

For Parents, the interaction between the teacher and the parent should be kept on a professional level, providing information on his/her performance in school as well as in class. Personal information exchanged should be left private so as not to breach the trust between student and teacher.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Researching on the syllabus available on the MOE website, looking through the trends in the ten year series as well as the school's prelim paper. Keeping updated with news and recent trends also helps in contextualizing to current society and this information can be imparted on to the student as well.
As a Good Tutor
Patience, forward thinking, systematic approach at lessons and being tactful as well as concerned for the students well-being not just on the educational side but as well as on the emotional and physical aspect.
