Tuition/Teaching Experience: I have been a teacher since 1997. I was an MOE teacher from 1997 - 2005. I taught the Lower Primary and Upper Primary Levels throughout my years in MOE schools, but I had more experience teaching graduating classes. Throughout my years in MOE schools, I have taught 7 graduating classes and the children under my tutelage have always obtained good results. I do not teach my students to be just examination-smart. In fact, I possess good skills in motivating children and teenagers as well and inculcating good values in them. From 2005, I was promoted to be the Head of Department for Mathematics from 2005 - 2010 in an MOE school. In 2010, I went over to Shanghai and was the Vice-Principal of the Primary School division of an International School for 4 years. I returned in Aug 2014.

Commitment / Other Details: The proudest moment in my teaching career is that day when I was nominated and being awarded the most inspirational teacher award in an MOE scholarship award presentation. During my 5 years as an MOE Mathematics HOD, I learnt and implemented many innovative ways of teaching mathematics and also studied into how students can overcome Mathematics anxiety. This is particularly helpful in helping children who have difficulties in solving Mathematics word problems

Rapport Building: I am extremely proficient and good in inculcating values and motivating children and teenagers. Most of my ex-students, who are already in their late 20s, still acknowledged me as the best teacher that they have ever had.l

Keeping Up with Curriculum: As I am a former MOE educator, I still have many ex-colleagues in the system. Keeping up with the curriculum is a breeze for me.
