Commitment / Other Details
I'm currently working in an accountancy and consulting firm, but I wish to have more flexible hours and I wish to teach more students as well. I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Economics, and I wish to concurrently teach while studying. I have a flexible work schedule come August, where I am studying for 3 days a week, with Thursdays and Fridays free for afternoons and evenings. Further, my weekends are also free.

As my own studying schedule coincides with most students from primary to secondary levels, the preparations for their examinations will coincide with mine. But, regardless, I understand the commitment required for each student and will not let that to distract me from helping the child despite my own personal studies.
Rapport Building
My primary school students enjoy my classes, as I attempt to try to make it interesting for them, and I hope that the time they spend on their academics does not unnecessarily increase their stress levels. I emphasise on the importance of not just doing work while during the hours spent with me, but to focus on correction of their past mistakes, knowledge consolidation by setting up time periods for studying as well as sharing some exam skills which the student may find useful while preparing for their major examinations.

For secondary students, i treat them with more maturity as it befits their age. But even so, I still require them to be just as proactive in their own studies, and I emphasise at this age that they have the capabilities to take on higher levels of studying that required of them, which will only prove useful to them in the future. By building these habits in my students, I hope that they can really learn to entrust themselves with their education, and I as a tutor can guide them as much as possible.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I follow the online guides to latest questions, and attempt latest test papers myself. Further, I have attended tutor workshops which emphasise which skills are needed in exams for students.
