Tuition/Teaching Experience: I have 2 years of tutoring experience. I was a tutor to a Secondary 4 student and taught her Math(E&A). Nonetheless, I would still help her with her other subjects should she encounter any difficulties with them. Her results improved and she managed to get into a Junior College. I have also tutored a Primary 5 student English, Math and Science previously. I re-taught her some of her weaker topics in Math and Science and went through some basic English grammar to help her truly improve. Currently, I am tutoring a Primary 3 student Math and Chinese, and a Primary 6 student Math and Science. I aim to help my students understand the important concepts and I do so by revising with them their weaker topics and going through their previous work to ensure that they have truly grasped the concepts.

Rapport Building: I am an outgoing person and can easily communicate well with both parents and students. As I am young, some parents may think that I am inexperienced, however, be assured that I have had experience in tutoring before. In addition, the fact that I am rather young can be and has been proven to be an added benefit as some students may be shy around older adults and as a result, are unable to communicate well with them. Thus, me, being closer to the students' age group, will be able to connect with the students better and ensure that they truly understand what I have been teaching.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have researched online and I also look through assessment books from time to time to keep myself updated with the current syllabus. (Be it Primary, Secondary or Junior College)

As a Good Tutor: Personally, I feel that the two basic qualities of a good tutor are: compassion and patience. I think that I am quite a kind and patient person and will make sure the student understand the concepts I am teaching no matter how long it takes and that is why I have often exceeded the time slot for tutoring sessions.
