I have had over 6 years of experience tutoring students for math, POA and science up to 'O' levels. I also have had experience as a relief teacher in secondary schools where I devised my own methods for comprehensive and yet simple understanding. I take the effort to purchase the right assessment books for my students on their behalf and have had an 90% rate of improvement while most of them jump at least by 2 grades within 6 months. My students improved, on average, about 2 grades after I started teaching them.

I taught p3-p6 english maths chinese and science. For lower sec students, I taught english maths chinese and science. For upper secstudents, I taught emaths, amaths, chinese, pure chemistry and higher chinese.

My students usually still requested me to continue teaching them. My p6 student asked me to continue to teach her till now(sec 2) and my sec1 student asked me to continue to teach him till now(Sec 3). The longest period I had taught my students are teaching them from secondary 1 to secondary 4 and from pri 5 to sec 3.

For the student the focus will be to create a rapport with the student and to explore his/her interests. This can help to provide context to the syllabus based on his interests. For example videos/documentaries and articles that are related to the subjects he is studying and his interests.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I read extensively, in fiction and non fiction to apply my knowledge gained in the curriculum. I have taken online courses on best practices when it comes to learning to maximise study time.

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor should be patient. A good tutor should spark a sense of curiosity in the student to want to know more. A good tutor should be a motivator.
