I graduated from Dunman High School in 2011 holding an A level certificate.

My niche is teaching Chinese and O level Physics and Chemistry. As a Singaporean, I understand very well the difficulties encountered by students while learning Chinese. Over the years, I was able to overcome it and in fact started to love Chinese. I try to build passion in my students while providing exam friendly notes.

Rapport Building: For the past 1 year plus as a home tutor for a boy sitting for "O" level, I continually update (weekly if necessary) the boy's parents on his weaknesses and strengths, and suggest methods on he could improve himself further outside of tuition lessons.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I keep myself updated with the curriculum by keeping in-touch with my college friends who are currently school teachers at different level.

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor must be able to cater specifically to the child's learning style and motivate the child in his learning. I also believe that a tutor should also actively engage the parents so that they are kept aware of the child education progress. Besides imparting knowledge, I also aim to inculcate the value of continual learning which goes being academic success. I do this but trying to apply whatever is being taught to real life experience whenever possible. In so doing, I hope that students will appreciate the world and life a lot better.

Tuition/Teaching Experience: I have experience in teaching 2 students - a P3 student in English and Math (2012), and a PSLE student English, Math, and Science (2015). Both of them have made improvements as evident from their tests results within a couple of months.

I had worked in Ernst and Young as an Auditor and an accountant in a private company so I am good at accounting even though I have yet to teach a POA student so far.

I tend not to spoon feed my students. Instead, I will guide the students in finding the answer step by step because it is more beneficial to the students and they are more likely to retained the working processes in their memories if they arrive at the solutions by their own efforts.
